Vaccination
A vaccination check will be carried out during the veterinary inspection. As an exhibitor, you are responsible for ensuring that the competing dog has received the necessary vaccinations.
Required vaccinations
Distemper: Dogs competing at the show must be vaccinated against distemper as follows:
- Dogs under one year of age – at a minimum age of 10 weeks.
- Dogs older than one year – at a minimum age of 10 months or older, with the vaccination not being older than 4 years. The first vaccination must be administered no less than 14 days prior to the show date.
Parvovirus Infection: The Swedish Kennel Club recommends that dogs be vaccinated against parvovirus. For advice on the various parvovirus vaccines, please consult your veterinarian.
Rabies: Dogs brought into Sweden in violation of the current import regulations will be denied entry to the show venue, and any competition results for that dog will be annulled.
Kennel cough: To reduce the risk of infection of kennel cough being spread, it is highly recommended to vaccinate all participating dogs.
